This weekend I attended Bring the Heat 2017 in Flowood Mississippi. The track layout was really nice and flowing. The race directors kept everything running smooth all weekend. Will definitely be back next year.
Truggy: The new XT8 17' felt awesome, this was literally the first time it ever touched a track and it did amazing. We ran Sweep square armors all weekend. I had some transponder issues in the 2nd qualifier but we got that straightened out and I managed to get TQ, mains started and I got the hole shot, ran consistent laps, and I managed to get the win for the second year in a row.
Ebuggy: The XB8e 17' felt great all weekend as well, the competition was very tight. In the qualifiers I had 3 great runs but only managed to get 2nd. In the mains we struggled with tire choice. We ran micro contacts in extreme soft compound and they burned up very quickly, I managed 2nd and 3rd in A1, and A2. I changed to sweep carbides in silver compound, and I got 1st in A3. My final finishing position was 2nd. 4wd mod buggy: The XB4 17' was hooked up all weekend on Sweep square armors. I managed to get the TQ and won all 3 of my mains to get the over all win.
Buggy: The XB8 17' was hooked up all weekend. We again struggled with tire choice, in qualifying we ran carbides. I had a decent 1st qualifier, In my second qualifier I got 1st, but in Q3 I had a throttle issue causing me to get dead last. Mains day came and I ran Sweep micro contacts, I started from 2nd. At the beginning of the main the car starting from pole stalled and I was forced to brake resulting in a huge pile up and I went straight to last on the 1st lap. I managed to cut out a pit stop thanks to my awesome fuel mileage I was getting from my reds racing engines, that combined with very consistent laps I managed to climb all the way back up to 1st and won for my second year in a row despite having some terrible luck. I had a great time with all of my friends and can't wait until the next race! See you all at wicked weekend!!
